Transmasc Stories to Check Out - Issue #1
Hey all! I haven't had an idea for a Trans collection feature for a minute so I've decided just to make one about Transmasc stories I've checked out or know of that I think deserve some attention. So, consider this issue number one in the series! They're all stories featuring a transmasc character in some shape or form, doing one thing or the other, and they're awesome. Genres span from erotica, romance, horror and slice-of-life. Let's begin!

Based on the fantastic comic, "The Titan" (which might be the only ongoing tm/f webcomic there is right now, just fyi) this story is a little out of my usual warehouse, kink wise, but I'm always very invested in checking out my contemporaries work. There's a lot to dig into here, a lot about both characters, about the world at large, etc, and it's simply a comic that's fantastically drawn and paced. Lan is fantastic at what he does and if this concept interests you at all, you will not be disappointed by this piece.

Freak shit for freaks only, I say, affectionately. This is absurd humor and horror all wrapped into one. Caede always has so much love for what they do and this book is another example of that. I'm a sucker for a trans guy simply being allowed to be cool. And it's a bonus point if he's allowed to be the object of desire-- and a top to boot?! Gruh. Hell yeah. Sign me up. It's also got cool body shit, mechs, and just a good chunk to read through already. I was hopeful this story would resonate with me and I finally took the plunge with the author kindly made a meme that included one of my characters: and for good reason. I can clearly see how where our work aligns. This one is not to be missed.
30k novel (about 100 pages)
Queer and trans horror for those who love tech, malls, the early 2000's and more. Mitch is an impeccable writer with so much passion for this stuff, his work is literally oozing with goodness. (I say literally because, y'know, the gross mall. Right? Yeah. It's oozing. You can feel the ooze.) Like Absurd Theatre mentioned above: this is only for responsible readers and lovers of horror.
Mouseworld Comic Compilation
A comic world that means so much to me. I've always loved small worlds, little critters, mice and bugs and fairies and all the things that tend to come with stories like that. Mouseworld is no different! It's beautiful, funny, thoughtful: and the main guy is trans. He's helping Mariella move through the world as a new Mom and it is just so touching and so special. Can't recommend this one enough for an easy read in the evening.

Very proud and honored to say that this comic was inspired by a Transhet thread I once had on bsky! (Which is now living on my Patron-only blog due to harassment I got via that thread being public, boo.) Trans dudes being with bigger gals is already rare, but trans dudes being allowed to rub up on stuff (especially vulvas) is also very rare so this is such a treat. Another cool trans dude, who is a hero, getting a baddie, ugh. It's the simple joys! I love it. Sweet, simple, enjoyable!
50+ page dramedy comic!
A project I've been excited for! I am still waiting on the print book in the mail, but for now, I read the digital version. (Thank you to the author for the review copy!) I'm truly so happy with this: all the feelings and the drama. Nate getting to be a cool guy! Ugh! It's just so awesome to have a trans guy be cool and messy and have a woman who likes and wants him. It's wild how much these simple joys do to my brain and this comic was exactly what I wanted it to be. Honestly wishing for a sequel to this! I want more.
Illustrated story, 6k words, 20+ full color illustrations!
One I've been very excited for and it did not disappoint. I'm a fan of Voidbird's other tm/f pairings too so I'm glad to see more. Fantastic short with a long shower sex scene, great for lovers of aquatic monsters and cool, scientific settings. Hoping to see these two return for more in the future!
96k problematic adult fantasy novel
If you're looking for trans dudes feeling fucked up feelings and acting on them, Montero is the author for you. I love stories with alternate reality love interests and Montero is not afraid to engage with the messiness of it all. Has a great pitch of, "Features a Black transgay protagonist who curses a lot and probably has an oral fixation." Again, this is another one for responsible readers who are gonna heed content warnings as needed.
