DCS, otherwise known as DarkChibiShadow, is a queer and trans cartoonist.
Their work focuses on emotion, character dynamics, and strong but simple character design. If you're looking for art that's bright, loaded with personality and utterly earnest: DCS is the artist for you!

Grayscale Inline Illustrations
Grayscale illustrations to be used inside your book! I can usually fit about 1-3 characters per image and I'm more than happy to draw explicit scenes this way too. Images are 3/4th body by default to better show character faces and expressions. Full body images can be discussed but should usually be reserved for action poses or showing off a design completely, for example, if your character was a centaur or other half kind.
You can upgrade any of these images to have both a grayscale and full color version at any time: full color is great for digital releases while grayscale will help keep the cost of your book production down. I will keep the high res, editable version of your image in perpetuity, so you're welcome to come back anytime for the full color treatment.

Licensing fee: $50 (You own the image forever to use however you like in your book!)

I am able to do very simple logos and text placement for free, but complex or custom logos will require an extra fee. Designing of characters may also incur an extra fee depending on how much time is spent designing.
I will keep the high res, editable version of your image in perpetuity, so you're welcome to come back for edits anytime.

Cute, cool, or sexy merch of your characters! I'm experienced in making buttons, acrylic charms, acrylic standees, stickers, and more! If you're looking for someone to handle your pre-order or special edition merch, I'm your guy!

Discounts or Rev Share
If you can't quite pay full price or would rather rev share with me until the full price is reached; I'm open to that! Talk to me and we can discuss. I'm also open for art trades and other services, as well as payment plans.
For discounted prices: I need at least 70% of my asking price.
For rev share: I would ask for a cut of your revenue until the original commission price is paid.
For payment plans: I can only go as low as three different payments to cover the full price.
For collaborations and trades: I am seeking authors who are interested in writing stories featuring transmasculine characters with femmes. Or, writers who want to write spin-off titles of my existing work. If you're writing a story that fits these criteria, contact me and you may be able to receive a very deep discount!
